Di Passey served as Chairman of ELF since 1987 when the Deed of Trust was officially formed until March 2011 when she relinquished the position of Chairman to David Smith. Di became involved with the charity in 1981 when her first husband was diagnosed with leukaemia and has worked tirelessly for ELF ever since.

Upon stepping down as Chair Di said “I would like to thank the team of dedicated doctors, nurses, patrons, trustees, ELF staff and volunteers over the years who have helped so much to grow the charity. It has been an immensely interesting and rewarding journey. I look forward to continuing as a Trustee and supporting David over the coming years.”
