Following an appeal in the Autumn of 2008 by ELF for a new supporter group in the East Devon area, Maureen Wheatley, who is a current patient of the Haematology Centre, answered the charity’s plea.

Together with her husband Mike, they became co-chairs of the East Devon Supporter Group, encompassing the towns of Honiton, Axminster, Ottery St. Mary, Sidmouth and the surrounding villages.

The group now has many members and arrange numerous fundraising events throughout the year including table top sales and supermarket collections.
