Hattie celebrates 10 years counselling for ELF

Hattie Hathaway has been providing counselling for patients and relatives affected by blood cancer for ten years. To celebrate this milestone, Hattie is taking part in a 20km walk around Exeter to raise funds for ELF.

Hattie says: "For the past 10 years, I have had the absolute privilege of working as a counsellor with ELF, supporting patients and their families through the incredibly difficult and often life-changing experience of a haematological diagnosis. During this time, I have seen first-hand the difference ELF makes, providing compassion, practical help and emotional support when people need it most."

"It has been an enormous honour to meet and support so many courageous and inspiring people over the years, and the relationships I have built with ELF clients remain a very special part of my work. I am incredibly proud to be raising funds for such a wonderful local charity. Every donation, however small, will help ELF continue to support patients and families through some of the most challenging times in their lives. Hattie is taking part in The Great West Walk, organised by Exeter City Community Trust, on Sunday 20th September. Starting and finishing at St James Park stadium, the 20km Green Circle route around the perimeter of the city features stunning green spaces, valley parks and hidden gems. This beautiful setting whilst chatting with fellow walkers is the perfect place for Hattie to celebrate her significant contribution to ELF's counselling services over the past decade.
