Kickstart your 2022 with a fitness challenge

We start 2022 we three brilliant fitness fundraising opportunities, including FREE and discounted charity places at upcoming events. If you are looking to start the year feeling fit and motivated, please consider taking on one of the following challenges and raising money in support of blood cancer patients and their loved ones.

January, Jog On!

After raising over £5,000 last year, our virtual fitness campaign has returned for 2022. January is always a drag, (and this year more so than normal), so please join us in telling January to jog on by signing up for our fitness challenge to help pass the days whilst raising money for a great cause.

Simply set yourself a target number of miles to complete in January and then collect sponsorship as you achieve your goal. Whether you jog, walk, run, cycle, cross-train or even walk the dog, please consider signing up and helping ELF to support blood cancer patients through a difficult winter. Try pushing your boundaries; it could be one mile per day, 2022 metres, 100 miles in total or even a virtual marathon over the course of the month. How you achieve your goal is up to you - a little each day, on set days or weekends, in one go, or whenever you can find the time.

One person taking on the challenge is Adele:

"I was diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2018. I am one of the fortunate ones who, thanks to the amazing team on Yarty ward at the RD&E, has made it to remission. But the impacts don't just disappear when you hit remission, they still affect me every day and will do so for the rest of my life. Covid has also added another mental burden for lymphoma patients.

One constant during the past 3 years has been the amazing support provided by ELF. Now I want to do my bit to return that support and help ensure that ELF is there for others now and in the future. I know that walking 26 miles in a month will not seem a lot to some, but for me it is going to be a proper effort and I'll do my very best to get there!"

 50% off Ultra-Challenge events

Ultra-Challenge host some amazing treks around the UK each year. Last year, five supporters undertook the Southwest 100km trek for ELF and were full of praise for the course, management and participant welfare provided by the organisers.

Throughout January, ELF participants receive 50% off registration fees to all 16 courses around the UK. There is a new Southwest route for 2022 ( a one-day Southwest Coast 2 Coast 50km trek on 6th August), alongside 25km, 50km and 100km treks along the Jurassic Coast, the South Coast, the Cotswolds, and the Isle of Wight to name but a few. We already have one supporter taking on the Lake District trek, following their successful completion of the Southwest course last year! Which location will you choose?

The January deal means that ELF supporters only pay the following registration fees: £15 for a 100km trek, £10 for a 50km trek and £5 for a 25km trek! These offers are only valid until 31st January, so be quick in making your decision. Please contact Andy for your discount code before registering.
