Summer cream tea campaign in full swing following volunteer launch event

This year's ELF Cream Tea runs from 1st June until 31st August. Now in its sixth year, the campaign has raised over £34,000 since it was launched in 2017. Each summer, supporters hold either a cream tea or a bake sale for their family, friends, and colleagues in order to raise funds towards ELF's vital services for blood cancer patients in Devon.

Following the restrictions over the past two years due to the Covid pandemic, we launched this year's campaign by hosting a Cream Tea event for our wonderful volunteer teams. ELF volunteers play a vital role in the running of ELF, and we have desperately missed bringing them together to celebrate their support across our fundraising, retail, and service networks. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces all under one roof!

The Volunteer Cream Tea was held on the 9th June in The Estuary Room at Darts Farm in Topsham. Over 60 guests attended and enjoyed a traditional Devon cream tea whilst getting to meet fellow volunteers. Our Fundraisers Andy and Gary provided updates on ELF's relaunch of our Counselling Service and current fundraising campaigns, whilst Charity Manager Sam, Retail Manager Donna and Retail Assistants Sarah and Yasmin kept everyone refreshed serving teas and scones. Thank you to everyone who attended!
